| General Description: The Old Hamilton County Sheriff's Residence and Jail was built in 1875-1876, four years before the present Court House. It served as the Sheriff's Residence and the Jail until 1977. The Hamilton County Historical Society has the property leased from the County Commissioners and has restored most of the interior and developed the museum for the citizens of Hamilton Co.
