Elder Abuse & Exploitation
Indiana law requires reporting of
suspected abuse, self-neglect or exploitation of dependent
adults. Call the 24-hour, toll-free Adult Abuse Hotline or
your local Adult Protective Services office to make a
report. The report will be investigated, legal action will
be taken (if necessary) and services for the victim will be
coordinated. Reports can be made anonymously. Emergency
situations should be reported directly to the police and
medical help summoned if necessary.
