| General Description: General Information: The Fairbanks Institute for Healthy Communities is
a not for profit organization working to improve community health. The
Fairbanks Institute is sponsoring the Indiana Health Study, which is a
longitudinal study of the population of Central Indiana. Information
collected in the Indiana Health Study will be studied by researchers to
learn more about chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes
that are common in our community. The results of these studies are
expected to lead to new and more effective therapies, making our
community healthier for generations to come. You can find more
