| General Description: The mission of the American Indian Center of Indiana Inc. is to offer comprehensive workforce development services to American Indians in Indiana. Our objective is to integrate employment and training services that prepare job seekers for careers, through collaboration with businesses, educational institutions and other key community organizations. The American Indian Center of Indiana Inc. aspires to promote a sense of unification among the American Indian people in Indiana to achieve personal, economic, social and cultural development. The 2000 census data indicates that we are a diverse people. Indian people from Indiana represent over two hundred tribes from North America. In Indiana, a state named for our people, there are Lakota, Comanche, Chippewa, Ottawa, Cherokee, Seminole, Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni just to name of few of the tribes whose people have chosen our beautiful state in which to live. In addition to tribal people from other states and Indian nations, there are the people native to Indiana.
