Coburn Place transforms battered lives by healing painful emotions, teaching valuable life skills, and fostering financial independence and long-term self-sufficiency. Our Vision. Coburn Place will be a widely recognized, self-sustaining long-term housing program for women and children who have left abusive relationships. We will provide a broad range of supportive services to prepare them for emotional, financial and physical independence and security.
 
Inspirations of Hamilton County, Inc.   City: Westfield   General Description: Inspirations provides a "one stop" approach in helping clients access needed social services, allowing them to direct their energies towards gaining employment or training and education opportunities. Our free "essentials boutique" provides household consumables not covered by food stamps or food pantries, which reduces financial stress, enabling them to focus on employment. The educational assistance program addresses the needs of both the women and their children. It provides tutoring, general and special education advocacy, assistance with fees related to obtaining an education, and a year round school supply boutique.

Sheltering Wings   City: Danville   General Description: Sheltering Wings provides emergency housing for women and children suffering from any form of domestic abuse. We build stable and independent lives through essential programs offered in a supportive and Christ-centered environment.
 
The Julian Center   City: Indianapolis   General Description: A United Way agency, The Julian Center was founded by one of the first women Episcopal priests with grants from Lilly Endowment and the Episcopal Diocese. Since 1975, women have chosen The Julian Center as a source of strength and a place of refuge in dealing with life's challenges. The Counseling Center continues to specialize in trauma therapy for women and children victims of abuse and assault. Since 1982, women have turned to The Julian Center's 24-hour Shelter to escape abusive relationships and find safety for themselves and their children.
